Nothing settles the nerves of a new city like arriving with someone who already knows it. Your gentleman is at arrivals with your name on a card. A SIM card and a transit pass are handled on the way in. He sees you checked in, walks you to a café the neighbourhood actually uses, shows you the two streets you will need, and reserves a table for your first dinner. By evening, the city is no longer unknown.

He collects you from the lobby at the hour you choose. Dinner is reserved, the route is known, and the evening goes wherever you like: a concert, a wine bar, the ruin bars of the Jewish Quarter. When you are ready, he walks you to your door.

Andrássy út and its courtyards, Fashion Street, Váci utca and the Great Market Hall, in an order that makes sense for the light and your energy. He knows which boutiques negotiate, where the sizes run small and which café to pause in.

You meet, he asks one question over the first coffee, and the city unfolds from there. A tram because it is passing, a courtyard because the door is open, a bath because it started raining. He carries a plan you never see.

You bring the list. He builds the order, the transport and the pauses, reserves a table for lunch and keeps the day moving at the pace you set. The sights, the shops and the small detours between them.

He collects you, travels with you, hands you in at the door and returns to collect you when you are ready. The baths, a salon, dinner across the river, an early train.
